For my thesis project I decided to create a book for girls that teaches them about puberty, growing up and all the changes that come with it. I wanted young girls to have something that explained the biological process in an easy to understand language and also give them the message that they are not alone on this journey. Puberty is a topic that is, to this day, seen as a huge taboo in Pakistan so I really wanted to create something that would put even a small dent in this stigma. 

The book is called "Coming of Age" and I wanted it to give off a almost comforting sort of vibe which is why I used these colors and fonts and illustration style in particular.

Some of the pages of the book are interactive like this Monthly Cycle Advent Calendar that children can flip through throughout the month to see what sort of changes are happening within their bodies. 

In keeping with the interactive theme, I created these two posters that are interactive as well. People can feel the body hair on the poster which is made by using black thread and people can pop the pimples on the other poster, which are made out of bubble wrap.
